Laminating may be the last step for your printed piece, but don't let it be a last minute thought.  Proper planning at the pre-press stage will solve almost all laminating issues.

Some common Do's and Don't:


Flush Cut Lamination


Sealed Edge Lamination

DO:

DON'T:

1. Use wax free inks 1. Use stock lighter than 70# text for 2/S lamination
2. Use good quality paper 2. Use stock lighter than 100# text for 1/S lamination
3. Avoid starch spray/press powder 3. Hesitate to call us with any questions
4. Be sure any coatings, aqueous, varnish, etc. are suitable for lamination
5. Supply oversized sheets for flush cut jobs
6. Mark your side guide & gripper
7. Send a line-up sheet for cutting

8. Ask for glueable film for pocket folders and like jobs

9. Allow 3% to 5% over for set up
